VIP event at Wimbledon 2018
On Monday 2nd July 2018, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Atlantic Flightstore hosted a VIP event- Day One at Wimbledon 2018, for some of our key operators. We were joined by Katharine, Jo, Bruce, Brendan, Matthew, Gina, Peter and Richard.
Rachel, our Sales Manager hosted the event alongside David from Virgin Atlantic.
To begin, Rachel and David greeted the guests at the gate and handed out their tickets, then made their way through security with no queue - like proper VIPs.
Shortly after the group was taken to their suite, introductions were made and they went off to enjoy Champagne and canapes on the balcony – delightful!
At around 11:30am, the guests had lunch where they chose from a variety of options and devoured a 3-course a- la - carte meal which was accompanied by specially selected wine. After lunch, the guests headed off for a few more pre-match beverages and conversation.
At 12:30pm, guests made their way to Centre Court ready for a 1pm start to watch Federer beat Lajovic in straight sets whilst enjoying a few cheeky Pimm’s and celebrity spotting – so fun!
Everyone made their way back to the suite for a Traditional Afternoon Tea, (Rachel’s favourite part of the event) with cute, delicious cakes with strawberries to top it off! As soon as the guests had finished, it was time to go back to Centre Court to watch two more matches with a Pimm’s in hand of course!
To end the evening the group headed back to the suite for a lovely chat and a few more beverages. A couple of our VIP operators left for home whilst the rest decided to carry on the evening and headed into Wimbledon Village for more drinks, and to take in the atmosphere. A perfect end to an amazing event!
