New route announcement: Virgin Atlantic launch London Heathrow to Phuket

Virgin Atlantic has announced the launch of a new seasonal service from London Heathrow to Phuket, commencing 18 October 2026. The route will operate three times per week on the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, offering customers direct access to Thailand’s largest island and one of Southeast Asia’s most popular leisure destinations.

The new route marks the only direct service between London Heathrow and Phuket, providing a convenient option for customers seeking premium connectivity to Thailand’s southern islands. Through Virgin Atlantic’s partnership with Bangkok Airways, passengers will also benefit from onward connections to destinations including Koh Samui, Krabi and beyond, enabling seamless travel across Thailand.

Phuket joins Virgin Atlantic’s growing collection of winter sun destinations, including Dubai, The Maldives, and Cancun - each designed for those who like their holidays with a touch of Virgin flair.
